The Junk Hustlers Story
Junk Hustlers is the creation of Cheri Garcia and her team at Cornbread Hustle, a staffing agency for second chances. In 2024, Cheri launched Junk Hustlers to address two needs: making meaningful jobs for people with criminal backgrounds, and helping people dispose of unwanted items at a low cost.
In 2025, we partnered with Oak Cliff Building Materials in Dallas to broaden our reach! OCBM is a locally-owned, background-friendly employer and provider of construction supplies, serving the greater Dallas area.
Help for Hoarding Disorder
Several members of the Junk Hustlers team have personal experience with a family member or friend who was afflicted with a hoarding disorder. This was part of the inspiration for our business.
Hoarding disorder is a serious health problem, affecting about four percent of Americans. It poses serious risks to individuals and their neighborhoods. Because we have worked with people who have hoarding disorder, we approach such situations with compassion and care.
